The Start It Right team delivered 100 resource packs and over 200 Penguin Books to three schools and a youth centre in Croydon.

On Thursday 11 February 2021, the team delivered resource packs containing arts and crafts activities and Penguin children’s books to help young people stay stimulated during the February half term holidays.

The dazzling range of children’s books were kindly donated by Neighbourly and Penguin Books UK as part of their ‘Penguin for Everyone’ campaign.

The resource packs contain various exciting activities for young people to get creative with including an opportunity to decorate their own photo frame, a wishbox, a keyring as well as completing an activity booklet.

The young people also have an exclusive chance of winning a £30 voucher of their choice by entering our ‘Design a T-Shirt’ competition.

These resource packs and books were delivered to young people belonging to ‘South Norwood Primary School’, ‘St John’s Church of England Primary School’ and ‘Oasis Academy Ryelands’.

Legacy Youth Zone, part of the OnSide network, also received an eclectic selection of books to add to their growing library and resource packs to hand to their members.

Putting together the resource packs during Covid-19 definitely brought on its unique set of challenges, however, the campaign has been a great success for the team who managed to deliver all the resource packs and books in a short space of time.
